The Dornier Merkur passenger aircraft was built 100 years ago. In June 1926, two pilots set seven world records with this aircraft, including the longest long-distance flight without incident. Another aircraft covered the distance from Zurich to Cape Town in 78 days in the winter of 1926/27. The model can be built in two different versions and was designed by Karl-Harro Reimers.
