Small Town Castle

The construction of this model was based on the so-called “Scheffel Castle” near Radolfzell on Lake Constance. It is located on the Mettnau peninsula in the District of Constance. It was originally a vineyard tenant’s house and belonged to the Mettnau estate. It was remodelled in the second half of the 19th century by the poet Joseph Victor von Scheffel. Today it is used for official purposes and can therefore only be visited to a limited extent.
